Modern coffee tables give the room a quiet centre without dominating it. Four designs in burnished brass and brushed stainless steel are handcrafted in Germany, so every surface carries an individual character.

Choosing the right coffee-table proportion

A coffee table should relate to the seating group without blocking circulation. Round shapes create soft movement, while rectangular and sculptural forms establish a stronger axis in the room.

Burnished brass develops depth and a living patina. Brushed stainless steel reflects light more quietly and gives the room a cooler architectural clarity. Every surface is finished by hand.

Frequently asked questions

How high should a modern coffee table be?

As a rule, the tabletop should sit at sofa-seat height or a few centimetres below it, usually between 35 and 45 cm. ZinCuTec models range from 23 cm for KANJI to 45 cm for TUKKON. Lower tables read as stronger horizontal surfaces, while higher models are easier to reach.

Which coffee table works in a small living room?

Round or compact forms work particularly well in small rooms because they leave circulation routes more open. ELYSIAN with a 60 cm diameter and the compact TUKKON can be positioned flexibly beside a sofa or armchair.

Is a metal coffee table delicate?

Solid brass and stainless steel tolerate moisture and heat better than many wooden or veneered surfaces. The visible material is metal rather than a painted coating, so there is no paint layer to chip. Use a soft, dry cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners.

Does burnished brass change over time?

Yes. This change is an intentional part of the material. Burnishing is a chemically created surface, not paint. Frequently touched areas can become lighter while others remain dark, creating an individual patina. Brushed stainless steel is the more consistent choice.

What is the difference between brass and a gold-look finish?

A gold look is usually paint or a coating applied to another base material. Burnished brass is solid metal with a chemically treated surface. Paint reflects light more evenly, while burnished brass shows varied tones that change with light and viewing angle.

How long is delivery and what does shipping cost?

Each table is made to order and usually takes five to six weeks. Coffee tables are delivered free of charge by freight to the kerbside. Stocked models have a 14-day return period.

Do you make bespoke coffee tables?

Yes. All four forms can be made in other dimensions, finishes and alloys. We first prepare a drawing and price based on your idea, then manufacture the table in our workshop in Germany.
