Care & Statutory Warranty

Every ZinCuTec piece is finished by hand. Slight differences in colour, gloss, texture, grinding pattern and ageing are part of the material and make every piece unique.

Material characteristics and possible defects

Natural patina, slight differences between handmade pieces, clouding, lively appearances, traces of hand-finishing and changes caused by normal use are normally not defects. We examine incorrect materials or surfaces, significant dimensional deviations outside agreed tolerances, faulty agreed sealing, attributable transport damage, non-contractual execution and functional or processing defects individually.

General care

  • Use only soft, clean and non-abrasive cloths.
  • Remove liquids promptly and avoid standing moisture.
  • Do not use aggressive, scouring, acidic, alkaline, chlorine-based or solvent-based cleaners.
  • Do not use alcohol unless expressly approved in writing; test products on an inconspicuous area first.
  • Do not place hot objects directly on the surface.

Care by surface

Patinated, burnished and oxidised:Use a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry afterwards. Do not use aggressive, chemical or scouring products.

Brushed stainless steel:Clean gently in the direction of the brush pattern.

Brass:Brass develops a natural patina. Acids, salts, moisture, alcohol and unsuitable cleaners can cause stains or discolouration.

Sealed surfaces:A seal improves protection but does not make a surface scratch-proof, chemical-proof or maintenance-free.

Special applications

Outdoor areas, wet rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, floors, hospitality, public or heavily frequented areas, counters, worktops, permanent moisture, food contact and chemical exposure are suitable only if ZinCuTec has expressly confirmed the specific application in writing.

Statutory warranty

The statutory warranty applies. ZinCuTec does not provide an independent guarantee unless this has been expressly promised in writing and clearly designated as a guarantee. Consumer rights remain unaffected.

Complaint information

Please provide the order or invoice number, customer name, delivery date, a precise description, photos from several angles, installation location, type of use, previous care and cleaning products, when the issue first occurred and whether the piece has already been installed or processed.

Custom work and B2B

Drawings, dimensions, materials, surfaces, samples, intended use, care and technical limits should be approved in writing. Where legally applicable, commercial customers must inspect promptly and give notice of defects. Always inspect before installation or further processing.
